Forget ferry across the Mersey plans revived about a new service across the Bristol channel.
An Ilfracombe businessman has been investigating the feasibility to start a ferry service between the town and Swansea.
There was a service planned previously but this came to nothing.
Obviously the key issue will be funding but certainly thereis widespread support for such an operation in the two tiowns.
The boat would be a purpose built craft which could take up to 250 people.
The journey time would be approximately one hour.
Anythin that helps to open up Swansea to even more visitors has to be a great thing to do and whilst it sounds like there are major hurdles ahead I wish him the best of luck with the project.
