Apparently Swansea Council have spent £100000 on measures to reduce speeds along Fabian Way.
The speed limits of 50mph have been reduced to 40mph and then 30 mph in some places.
This is to coincide with the new junctions and access points for the the new University campus.
The council defended their decision to slow traffic on one of the key gateways into the city by stating that pedestrian and road user safety was their priority.
The money has largely been spent on two new laybys for the use of speed camera vehicles.
With motorists needing to get used to the new speed limits I think that there are going to be an awful lot of fines dished out over the coming months.
