With the prolonged spell of dry weather that Swansea has enjoyed comes the very serious issue of grass fires.
Most recently the fire service were called out to tackle a blaze near Morriston.
The crew were on hand for over two and a half hours quelling the flames.
A lot of these fires are started accidentally by a carelessly discarded cigarette but sometimes they are deliberately set.
Either way they are very dangerous as the large open spaces in some parts of the city linked to the tinder dry conditions mean that the fire can spread very rapidly.
Please be careful when you are out and about enjoying the nice weather as the last thing we need is a tragedy on our hands.
