A call has gone out for new members of the Swansea branch of the Royal Artillery Association.
The Royal Artillery are famous for their deployment of anti aircraft guns which defended Swansea from air attack during World War Two.
In fact the restored gun at the Tawe bridge stands as a memorial to the ravaging that the city experienced from enemy bombing raids.
The Association which has many older members act as a social meeting place as well as coordinating memorial services especially the Rememberance Day parade - which of course takes on even more significance during this the centenary of the start of the First World War.
