The Tidy Swansea campaign targetting litterers notches up 3000 fines.
In response to complaints from residents the city council instituted a campaign to clamp down on litter.
in addition to more than 50 extra bins positioned around the city the council employed wardens who were empowered to hand out fixed fines.
To date they have issued nearly 3000.
As the council spends £2 million per year on keeping the city tidy the initiative deserves to be applauded!
