Everyone at the 'Best of Swindon' is delighted that over the past 12 months Swindon has seen the highest level of Investment in 15 years, according to experts in the Town. Property Consultants Alder King say that this will bring about 1,000 new jobs to Swindon.
B&Q are just one of several large Investors in Swindon. They are going to develop a new 800,000 sq. ft. Distribution Centre (size of 20 football pitches!) with an investment of £77.4 million creating half of the 1000 new jobs in Swindon.
James Gregory, a partner at Alder King, said: "It is positive news for the future of our Town that even in the aftermouth of the recession we are attracting major brands and institutions who wish to invest in property and employ local people".
