The festival was part-funded by the council’s youth services budget and by a grant from the Government’s Youth Opportunity Fund, part of the Every Child Matters campaign.
Activities at dedicated zones included a climbing wall and a basketball competition, photography and craft workshops and acoustic performances from some of the bands.
One of the event organisers, 19-year-old Josh Chesterman said, “it’s popular because I think it’s the only free event of its kind for young people in Swindon".
