Sue is the person to see if you have a gun dog breed! We thoroughly enjoy her sessions: she makes them fun, informative and light hearted, whilst still giving you lots of technical information and things to challenge you. There is a variety to our sessions tailored to a spaniel's wants/ abilities: stalking, stop whistle, retrieves, heel work and hunting. Us and our dog had the best time and it’s so joyous watching her do what she was meant to. Her methods are rewarding and motivational for the dogs, which is important to me as I want to build a positive relationship with my dog.

Beginner training sessions with Sue were really useful and fun with lots of different tasks and exercises which both Tilly and I enjoyed with plenty of progress over the 6 week session. Plenty of suggestions for making training at home more interesting and stimulating. We will be back for more - hopefully soon.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching both you and Tilly grow in skill and confidence. she is a smashing dog , who in time will become exactly the companion you are looking for.
Sue is fantastic at what she does, I would not go anywhere else. My cocker spanie,Barney and I have benefited hugely from 1:1 sessions with Sue, hoopers classes and we have just completed gun dog training! It has been invaluable to us both, Sue is always there over the phone and email too with genuine help and advice, it doesn't end when the session ends! Looking forward to booking in again in the new year and I know Barney will be looking forward to it, he always gets excited when we drive along the track! Thank you 😊

Myself, my partner and Sprocker (Otto) have recently been taking some lessons with Sue over the last couple of months. Can’t sing Sue’s praises enough for how great she is with your dog and working out what needs to happen next for you to progress in having a well rounded dog! It’s not just me that sings her praises, even Otto has a little squeak when he knows we’re at Sue’s as he can’t wait to get out, see Sue and get training.

I have a cocker spaniel who throughly enjoyed one of Sue’s workshops. Soo much so that we are now having regular sessions at her Bridgewater field and working towards our gun dog grades. I take great pleasure in seeing the enjoyment working gives my dog. Sue has been nothing but positive for a novice to the gundog world.

Myself and our new WCS Pixel are very much enjoying the Grassroots Puppy training course with Sue. I’ve been to a number of different puppy classes over many years and this is by far the most engaging and pragmatic. It is not just for those who are heading for Gundog work but also an excellent course for building trust and basic obedience in a fun way for you and your dog. I travel from Exeter to attend and it’s well worth going the extra mile for the right trainer. Highly recommended and looking forward to completing this course and commencing with the next.

Having had a dog before, I didn't think Id have too much trouble training my puppy. I was wrong! Sue helped me see what Id been doing wrong by calmly showing us both what was expected of us to get the desired result. Its still work in progress but he is definitely a calmer, more responsive dog & walks have become a real pleasure as his recall is so much better - even choosing to come back to me over chasing a rabbit! Thank you Sue, that wouldn't have happened before. Its all done with positive reinforcement & game like training so it doesn't seem like work at all. Im not brilliant at remembering things, so the notes that are sent out after each session is great for me. I've printed them off & they are read every so often to remind me to do the training (life can get in the way sometimes) & as a recap as to what I should be doing. I definitely recommend Connected Canines

We recently completed an online 6 week puppy training course with Sue. I was surprised just how engaging it was over the internet and actually much preferred it to face to face puppy training we did a few years ago with other trainers. Sue delivers material in an easy to understand manner, provides quality feedback on our video practices, and makes time to discuss specific questions and issues. Highly recommended and already looking forward to doing more training with her.

I've just completed a block of one-to-one training sessions - with Sue from Connected Canines.
Gus, my labrador puppy, has come on so much from these sessions. Especially his ability to concentrate, engage and focus has improved so much.
Each week Sue thought us different exercises and games to practice at home. To give him the foundation to be a well-adjusted puppy and be able to manage himself and make the right decision when meeting challenges.
The best thing Sue does is to send notes after every session. They are a lifesaver and helps so much when you are practising after each training session.
The main reason for doing the one-to-ones is Gus is a very boisterous happy puppy ( typical labrador lol. ). He's growing big and strong, swift and needed training so I can take him out for walks and enjoy it!
Also, I wanted to improve my dog handling, and Sue will give you tips on how to improve what you are doing and answer any questions you have. I would 100% highly recommend Sue (Connected Canines) and have now enrolled in the puppy group classes.
