you get taught how to drive to be able to pass your driving test as well as you are taught how to be a proper driver who is able to take on any situation on the road whether it is something that may be assessed on your driving test, or not. I had Simon as my instructor and can confidently say I don’t think it’s possible to have a better instructor. Hope to meet up someday for a coffee with Simon and catch up. Passed first time thank you

I was recently moved to the UK and I have never driven on UK roads before although I have full license for South East Asia. After my first sessiom with Vern, I realised that I was an irresponsible driver who knew how to drive but did not know much about the safe driving practices. He has been very flexible, supportive and approachable throughout my journery to acheive my UK driving test on my first try with one driving fault. It is not only about passing the test on the first try, most importantly, his lessons are about how you should drive consistently for your lifetime. So if you are looking for an instructor who always looks beyond passing your driving test, he is 100 percent the ☝️

5 stars does not do Learn with Vern justice.
10/10. Highly recommend.
I was told by two previous instructors that: "You will never drive," and "Driving just is not for you." And both previous instructors refused to teach me as I was a very anxious and nervous person and driver. Also I had dyspraxia, which meant I was quite (very) difficult to teach.
Despite this fact, Vern took me on as a student. And promised me I would be able to drive one day.
Vern is non-judgmental, patient and understanding. Vern persisted to teach me how to drive, even throughout the (many) tears and tantrums.
Vern kept his promise. Recently passed my practical. And as a bonus, I was able to prove those 2 instructors wrong thanks to Vern.
Forever grateful.

when I joined learn with vern I was terrified of driving and never thought I would pass my test but learn with vern helped me push through my fears and build up my confidence. They helped me learn so much and they always made me feel comfortable and like I was a good and safe driver. Learn with vern made my driving experience easier and made me feel ready and at ease in the road. I can’t thank them enough for getting me through my test and helping me to feel ready and confident to get out on the road by myself!

What can I say, other than Vern is truly the best driving instructor there is, Vern is so patient and will teach you something over and over again u til you understand and feel confident with it, he never loses patients and will always find ways to help you learn in different ways, he will teach you something 10 different ways to find out the best way you learn, if you are a nervous or anxious driver or learner Vern is the instructor for you, he never gives up on you and never lets you give up on yourself even when you want to, will always be there through the ups and downs learning how to drive can bring, he puts all his time energy and effort into each lessons ensuring you get the best out of the time you have in the car, truly the best instructor and I would recommend to anyone who is wanting to learn how to drive or to anyone who is looking for a new driving instructor he is your man

My lessons with Vern couldn’t of been better, they were THE BEST. I felt so comfortable in the car and at ease with learning how to drive that after each lesson I couldn’t wait for the next! Vern really listens to you, makes you feel heard and happily answers any question you may have making sure you feel confident with the answer. There’s no pressure either on getting things right first time, and the lessons are tailored to you which I found really good and useful as I could say if there was something I particularly wanted to go over/correct we would do that for our lesson or fit it in with other plans in that time. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn to drive as Vern makes sure you become a safe and happy driver for life, not just to pass your test!

I came to Vern with baggage. Lack of self confidence, suffering from PTSD, high anxiety and was an emotional mess. I had years of bad experience with inadequate driving instructors. Vern was honest from the word go. He wanted to know my barriers, he wanted to know me. He took the time and tailored his teachings to how I would respond best. Vern genuinely wanted the best for me, he wanted to be part of me resetting my life and he has achieved that. I never once deaded a driving lesson as I knew Vern wasn't going to put me in a situation where I would freak out of set my mental health off into a downward spiral. I couldn't wait to meet up, chat and put the world to rights. I past my test, yes I was an emotion wreck when the examiner said I'd past, l looked to Vern and his smile was genuine, honest and reassuring I did good. I cannot recommend Learn with Vern enough to people especially those who are unique with their mental health. Vern I am forever in your debt. Please use Learn with Vern, you won't regret it. Thanks

Seriously Couldn't reccomend Vern enough, Vern has not only taught all 3 of my sons to drive but created 3 extremely safe road users. Verns teaching style has adapted for each of my sons showing his flexability and emotional intelligence. Vern is a brilliant instructor, so patient and helpful. I struggled with a manual car and just had zero confidence, instead of giving up on me he talked me into going automatic and was clearly the best decision for me, my confidence went straight up and I passed first time.

Vern has been absolutely amazing in teaching 4 of my children to drive over the past 4 years. He has been patient and taken his time, making sure they were never pressured to pass their test.
All 4 of them are safe and confident drivers.

Previous to going with Vern I had failed my test and lacked in confidence and was close to giving up. But Vern believed in me and helped me get my confidence back by being professional, patient and reassuring. I have now passed my driving test and I couldn’t recommend him more, he was a great instructor! Im going to miss out lessons!
