Taunton RFC is an English rugby union club that was originally founded in 1875. Having achieved a string of promotions in 2009 and 2010, Taunton RFC now plays in National League 2 South.

Taunton RFC aim to make sport accessible to the local community, whether you're just coming along to enjoy the atmosphere of the matches or looking to take up the sport professionally.

Membership and Entrance Prices

Taunton RFC always offer a warm welcome to new members, with membership available for players and non-players. Membership with Taunton RFC is a great way to get involved with sport in the local community and meet people with similar interests.

The club's 1st XV team currently compete in National League 2 South (Level 4), whilst the 2nd XV team compete in Somerset Premier (Level 8) and Somerset 2 South (Level 10) respectively. Taunton RFC also run a number of youth teams including two age levels of Fillies (girls) and a Colts XV, along with minis and junior groups for players aged 6-16 years.

Non-players will also receive a very warm welcome at the club and if you become a member you'll be entitled to a 10% discount in bar purchases with your membership Smartcard, as well as voting rights at the club's Annual General Meeting.

The Clubhouse

Taunton RFC boasts a modern, spacious and well-equipped clubhouse with superior views over the pitch.

It's the perfect place to soak up the pre-match atmosphere and relax afterwards with a drink at the bar and perhaps a carvery meal and a game of pool.

The clubhouse also shows live Premiership, Heineken Cup, Super 14 and International rugby games through Sky Sports on a large HD TV. The bar is open between 6pm and 10pm Tuesday - Saturday and 12 noon - 4pm on Sundays, with a 10% discount for members.

Events

The clubhouse is the venue for Taunton RFC's many social and live entertainment events throughout the year, which have become extremely popular.

You can also choose to host a private function such as a wedding reception or birthday party in the impressive surroundings of the clubhouse for an extremely competitive rate.

In addition, a range of corporate hospitality options are available, from the exclusive comfort of the President's Lounge to the relaxed atmosphere of the new Commsplus Conservatory bar.
