Mother’s Day is coming sooner than you think (March 22nd 2020) so if you want to spoil your Mother, you
need to book something soon.
Historically Mother’s Day was the day that children and young people ‘in service’ were given off to return
home to their families or their Mother Church to visit. Wildflowers were often picked along the way to give
to their Mother or to take to Church and so the tradition of flowers or gifts has come from this. Nowadays
we choose to give flowers, a gift or spoil our Mum’s in more modern ways. Here are a few suggestions for
you:-
Mother’s Day is fast approaching (22nd March) and if you want to take your Mum somewhere nice you need to start thinking about it now.

Fairtrade Fortnight continues until the 10th March 2019, during two weeks each year thousands of individuals, companies and groups of people across the Country join together to celebrate and show support for the growers of much of our food. Food is often produced in the poorest Countries across the World and the people who grow it are often exploited and poorly paid,amongst the crops that are grown is chocolate from the cocoa bean, a luxury food taken for granted by for most of us.
Keen knitters from Taunton are this month (March, 2014) invited to join in with a regular knitting club taking place at a garden centre in the town.
