Mother’s Day is fast approaching (22nd March) and if you want to take your Mum somewhere nice you need to start thinking about it now.
Historically Mother’s Day was the day when children and young people in service were given a day off to visit their families or originally return to their ‘mother’ Church. The tradition of giving gifts came from wildflowers picked along the way either to place in Church or give to their mothers. Now we celebrate by gift giving, giving Mum a rest from the chores or taking her out. So here are a few ideas to help you:-
