People wanting to learn more about planting bulbs are invited to attend a free advice weekend this month (September, 2013) at Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre in Taunton.
Staff at the garden centre near Taunton will be offering tips, planting demonstrations and free advice on how to get the best from bulbs on September 21 and 22. Norma Moore, General Manager at the award-winning, independent, family-run garden centre at Monkton Heathfield, said: September is the perfect time to prepare and start planting bulbs in order to get a colourful display next spring. Indoor bulbs, such as Hyacinth, also need to be planted in September so that they are flowering in time for Christmas.
Our in-house experts will be able to give visitors lots of handy advice and answer any questions people may have. We will have lots of new bulb varieties for visitors to choose from, as well as exclusive new bulbs in stock. The Bulb Weekend takes place at Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre, which was awarded the Albert Goodman Family Business Award at the Somerset Business Awards in 2012 on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 during normal garden centre opening hours.
For further information about the free event, please call the garden centre, which is located just off the A38 at Monkton Heathfield near Taunton, on 01823 412381
