Recently we helped an exisiting client bring a new business to market, he already had a distribution system via his Farmer’s Market weekly stall, but wanted to start on the path to a wider audience and more customers.

After a discussion about what he wanted, what he already had, and what he could afford, we set out to launch The Giant Pork Pie into the wider world than just our market town here in Somerset.  A website designer was needed and we recommended Dexterous Designs based here in Taunton, we believed that they were the perfect fit and due to their clever packages of website design and maintenance, our client could see the transparent pricing structure right from the off.  A deal was struck and we started the whole thing rolling.

Next we had to get down to business providing top notch images for the website and social media, they had to reflect the client’s brief and show the high end quality of the product.

We spoke to a local professional photographer who had done many product shoots and they suggested a local Kitchen and Aga supplier for the location, so after securing Sylvia Adams of A Personal View Photography, the shoot venue and the pies, we set off to take the pictures.  The showroom at Spillers of Chard, was ideal for our purposes, beautifully designed and exquisitely made kitchens with a country feel helped us as a backdrop for these truly enormous but perfectly formed pies!  The photoshoot was a great success, the pies looked amazing and we were all delighted with the day.  Sylvia’s shots were creative, classy and perfect for our needs.  We can assure you that no crumb of pie went to waste after the shoot either….

The website was created by Marc and Harvey at Dexterous, and then populated by the images that Sylvia had created.  The text was written for the site by our copywriter and it all came together with a beautiful logo designed by Sally Maidment at Designbean, also in Taunton.  She captured the brand identity exactly with a Giant Pork Pie in a Lilliputianesque graphic on a gorgeous dark blue background.  The website from being an empty space, started to take on a life of its own.

And so onto World Domination!  The Giant Pork Pie was unleashed into the ether and has steadily gained momentum.  From a market stall, to a website, via some social media marketing and not forgetting the stellar nature of the Giant Pork Pie itself, a new enterprise was born with our help.
