The club are delighted to announce the reappointment of Leigh Robinson as first team manager for the 2014-15 season.

Leigh joined the Peacocks in June 2012 and after experiencing a testing first season in charge which saw the club finish in 18th Somerset Premier Cup and a much improved position in the Calor League this term where, with three league games remaining, a top ten finish is still on the cards.

Robinson commented: I'm really pleased to be appointed as Taunton Town manager for another season. We've made some really good progress on the pitch this season and the quality of the squad has improved drastically from last season and from when I arrived at the club. This division is really strong now, far stronger than my time at Bridgwater back in 2009, but I embrace that and with this in mind I look forward to making necessary improvements over the summer in order to make further inroads on this league.

Chairman Kevin Sturmey said: Leigh has done an excellent job this season and our recent form including reaching the final of the Somerset Premier Cup is no more than he deserves. The hours he spends to take the club forward on the pitch is testament to his desire to manage Taunton Town and bring success back to the Viridor Stadium. Leigh has always dealt professionally with whatever problems he has faced and is never afraid to make decisions in order to facilitate improvement.

We have made significant progress this season with crowds on the up and in general a very good standard of football and Leigh will now be able to start firming plans up for next season.
