Taunton Town FC announced its newest signings this week - three of the horses from the Conquest Riding Centre for the Disabled in Taunton. The club is sponsoring the ponies - Missy, Charlie and Jesse - which are used by children and adults at Conquest, Somerset's leading riding charity providing a range of activities centred on horses.
Taunton Town chairman Kevin Sturmey said: "We are delighted to sponsor the horses and help Conquest continue the marvellous work that they do." At last Saturday’s home game against Didcot Town, two Conquest ponies - Grimble and Tiny Tim – visited Wordsworth Drive to meet the fans and thank the club for its sponsorship. Conquest manager Jess Dixon: "I would like to thank Taunton Town for their generous support.
We love our horses and they provide hours of fun and learning but they can be expensive so this generous sponsorship will help us enormously.”
