Taunton families looking for Easter-themed activities to take part in can go on a treasure hunt at a garden centre in the county next month (April, 2014).

Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre near Taunton is inviting youngsters to search the garden centre for treasure, which has been hidden from Monday, April 7 until Easter Monday, April 21.

Norma Moore, General Manager of the award-winning, independent, family-run garden centre at Monkton Heathfield, said: We hope lots of families come along during the Easter break for a hopping good time!

We will be hosting a treasure hunt around the garden centre, which youngsters can take part in. Treasure hunt forms will be available from our reception desk and they include instructions on how to take part. Completed forms can be returned to us and those with correct entries will receive a chocolate bunny to take home and enjoy.

The Easter treasure hunt will cost £2 per child. Norma added: This is the perfect opportunity for families to spend some quality time together taking part in our activities during the Easter break.

Once theyve completed the hunt they can stop off at our Four Seasons Restaurant or Pondside Cafe for some good food. The restaurant serves a selection of fresh soups with warm, crusty bread, as well as a range of hot lunches, which are perfect for warming people up during chilly weather.

A childrens menu is available as well. The Pondside Cafe serves a selection of snacks and fresh cakes made on the premises by our highly skilled in-house bakers. The hunt will take place at Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre from Monday, April 7 until Easter Monday, April 21 during normal opening hours. The garden centre will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 20.
