Rag rugs are a great way to upcycle, so come along and learn how to make one for your bedroom at home.

Discover the Magic of Crafts

People have been making rag rugs for years, using recycled fabrics and hessian to make these shaggy, colourful rugs. Come along and have a go at making your own rag rug and find out more about the history of this colourful craft.

All materials will be supplied to make a start on creating a small rug for your bedroom at home. Take away the knowledge and skills to finish making your rug at home, and help to keep this heritage craft alive. Rag rugs are a great way to upcycle your old t-shirts so why not bring them along to include and give them a new lease of life!
