Take some time out of your busy schedule and join us for the new Silent Book Club at Somerset Heritage Centre for exclusive library access on the last Friday of each month.
It’s a time for some peace and quiet where you can pick up a book and get stuck in, surrounded by the history of Somerset.
Bring your own book with you and if you don’t have a book of your own, we have plenty! Somerset Local Studies Library holds published works relating to all aspects of Somerset life, including books, pamphlets, maps, journal articles and illustrations.
Silent Book Clubs have no assigned reading: they allow likeminded people to meet and sit with a cuppa and a biscuit* and read together in quiet companionship.
Once you’ve done your reading feel free to stay and have a chat with your fellow book-clubbers afterwards.
