Learn to create an artwork in needlefelt responding to Somerset’s endangered species.

Join artist and needlefelter Lydia Needle for a creative workshop inspired by the natural world.

Needlefelt is a craft that uses wool, a felting mat and a special type of sharp tool to create 2D and 3D shapes and designs. During the first part of the workshop, you will learn how to use these simple materials to create a 2-dimensional dragonfly or damselfly. Then, you will build on your skills by working the wool into relief to create 3-dimensional shapes.

The session is suitable for complete beginners or those hoping to hone their needlefelting skills.
