Make a scarf or table runner from local wool at this handweaving workshop with Jade Odgen.

This workshops will enable you to try out handweaving on an Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom, using a variety of colourful local wool. During the session, you will be able to make a table runner or small scarf, to take home with you.

The workshop will be led by weaver Jade Ogden from The Handloom Room based on Mendip. Jade works primarily with undyed, regeneratively farmed Shetland and Romney wool, sourced from Fernhill Farm less than 10 miles from her home. The sheep are regeneratively farmed, which means that through their continual grazing in nomadic-style flocks, they actively restore the natural biodiversity of the landscape.

Workshops are suitable both for beginners and for people who have had some experience with handweaving.
