Join Naomi Hannam of Creative Roots for an enchanting journey into the alchemy of colour and transform foraged plants, roots and saved kitchen scraps into vibrant dye colours.

Discover the hidden dye plants of spring and make natural dyes over the fire. Ever wondered what colours you can get from nettle, oak galls, bramble, hawthorn or onion skins? Together we will learn about non-toxic mordant techniques, forage for dye plants and learn to extract colours from flowers, barks and leaves. You will have your own seasonal colours swatch sheet to take home, a testament to the beauty of nature’s palette.

This practical, playful, and experiential workshop is designed to spark your curiosity and kickstart your journey into natural dyeing. It’s an empowering, creative, and informative introduction to the world of natural dyes.

Run by Naomi Hannam of Creative Roots, an artist, educator and nature based facilitator. Whose work centres around weaving connection between land, community and creativity. Working with the abundance of nature to celebrate beauty, play and curiosity through practical relationships with plants and fibres.
