It is inspired by the ancient June fayres that were first recorded in Wellington’s 1244 Market Charter, and the town’s annual ‘Jubilee’ celebrations of the 1770s. Around 40 local food and craft stalls set up outside the parish church, with entertainment in the form of fire-eaters and jugglers, choirs and bands, Morris dancers and even a medieval minstrel. And be sure not to miss the Georgian costumed procession at 1 o’clock!
