This time of year there is a noticeable increase in phone calls from customer because of ‘tripping’. This is often due to the change in temperature as the weather gets colder.
The colder weather can cause condensation (water forms inside the light) or water ingress (rain gets in).
One of the causes for tripping is often outside security or spotlights which have worked perfectly all summer but aren’t now weather proof.
Make sure that the seals on your outside lights are in good order and that there are no cracks in the glass. Water will always find a way in and that will lead to tripping at your consumer board.
Check them now not when we have 2” of snow and if you need any help - you know who to call (not Ghostbusters!).
