This week G. N. Badley & Sons have teamed up with a charity and I couldn’t be more proud.

We are going to be raising money for the Georgia Williams Trust through a new product we have launched.

It is something I have been looking to do for a while and I am so pleased we will now be able to regularly support this amazing local charity.

We decided to put together a new range of BBQ meat boxes especially for the upcoming summer months and £1 from each box sold will go to the Trust.

You may not know but I, Simon Badley, managing director of G. N. Badley & Sons, also work at New College Telford in the performing arts and music department.

Georgia was a student at New College Telford when she tragically died in May last year so this charity is particularly close to my heart. I was so pleased when chairman of the Trust, Richard Langton, said he welcomed my idea and was keen to raise money in this way.

The new BBQ boxes come in four varieties,  BBQ sausage box, BBQ box small, large and indulgent. They cost between £15 and £55.
For the cheapest, the BBQ sausage box, you get 3kg of sausages and the largest box, the adult indulgent BBQ box, contains four 6oz best rump steak, four 6oz pork loin steaks, four chicken oyster thighs with or without sauce, four 6oz unsmoked gammon steaks, 500g of sticky pork ribs in chinese or barbecue style, four half pound beef burgers and 500g of sausages.
We have launched these products now because everyone will be dusting off the barbecue in time for the bank holiday weekend so we thought it is the perfect time to be able to raise as much money as possible for the trust.

More about the trust…..
The Georgia Williams Trust was founded soon after the 17-year-old was killed by Jamie Reynolds, 23, at his home in Avondale Road, Wellington, last May.

The trust’s motto, “Free Your Spirit Join In”, embodies the charity’s aim to enable young people to take part in the adventurous activities Georgia enjoyed.

Anyone aged between 11 and 18-years-old in Telford & Wrekin can apply for a grant of up to £250 and must demonstrate they will help fulfil the charity’s aims.

Three students from New College Telford were the first to be successful in securing funds earlier this year.
