Chiropractors, not just backs! Equally tennis elbow isn’t just for tennis players!

Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, is the inflammation of the tendons around the outer aspect of the elbow.  It is most common in people aged 40-60 years. It is usually caused by repetitive movements. Yes, this can be playing tennis! But this can also be related to the elbow and wrist positions when driving, or even typing.

We always suggest a thorough assessment to identify the underlying cause and can give individual treatment and advice.  Typically this would incorporate joint manipulation and mobilisation, massage, stretches or acupuncture, and advice ice, rest and the wearing of a support.

Did you know, that pain on the inside of the elbow is known as Golfer’s elbow? Equally not limited to golfers!

Call us at Back to Health on 07541 419662 for your full assessment.
