Welcome to Back In Action
Pain of any kind can be incredibly uncomfortable, frustrating and restrictive and in many cases sufferers are forced to take time off work for problems that could be easily treated with the right approach. If you suffer from any kind of problem that is causing you undue discomfort, then visit Back in Action who will help you to find a holistic solution.
The source of different types of pain varies hugely from person to person, and there are a multitude of different treatment options than can be explored depending on your situation. Usually specialists can offer only one perspective on your treatment, depending on their individual discipline. Back in Action adopt an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of all types of pain, basing your care on the combined skills and experience of chiropractor Aidan Barry and massage therapist Alison Roux.
Offering a free initial consultation with a trained diagnostician Back in Action is able to determine which option, or combination of options, is right for you. This ensures you can follow a programme that is specifically tailored to your needs and will give you the maximum pain relief.
Treatment options provided by Back in Action include:

Aromatherapy and Massage
Alison Roux BaHons has a CIBT qualification in advanced massage and an ASET dip in aromatherapy. Alison's primary focus is on treatment - using massage and aromatherapy for muscle release and joint relaxation to treat injuries and relieve pain.
Back in Action's holistic approach to treatment means that a combination of aromatherapy and massage can be used not only to ease pain in specific areas, but also to improve your general physiological and psychological wellbeing.
The oils used are Kobashi essential oils, ethically sourced and produced in the South West. These are also available to purchase from the clinic along with complimentary bath products.
Alison practices several different types of massage including:
• Aromatherapy massage
• Swedish massage
• Sports massage
• Indulgent massage
She also has a 'thumper' to relieve particularly bad muscle tension!
Chiropractic Treatment
It is a common misconception that chiropractic treatment can only be used to treat back pain. It can also be used to treat problems such as:
• Headaches
• Slipped discs
• Sciatica
• Neuralgia
• Neck, shoulder and arm pain
• Sports injuries
Back in Action offers treatments for both males and females of all ages; they also offer discounted rates for children and students. They are also able to supply ice packs, deep heat gels, TENS machines, sports tape and hip seats for carrying babies and small children and are fully trained to give advice on the correct use of all of these products.
Back in Action is a small, family run practice and is Tewkesbury's only registered establishment for chiropractic treatment.
