Hook Norton Fire Station has been voted FIRE STATION OF THE YEAR in the prestigious Spirit of Fire Awards!
The awards are the most prestigious in the fire services calendar, recognising both bravery, dedication and commitment to the Fire Fighters Charity.
Hook Norton Fire Station has long been recognised as being at the heart of its local community with enduring links to the famous Hook Norton Brewery. The brewery's last 3 owners, father to son, hvae all been the local officer in charge of the fire station and the brewery allows its staff to serve as retained fire fighters.
Councillor Judith Heathcoat said "For a relatively small brigade to have 3 nominations in the awards is an outstanding achievement and shows once again that Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service is punching well above its weight"
