A SelectaDNA kit involves pasting a solution made up of unique microdot codes onto items such as war medals, birth certificates, pictures and passports.
The property is registered on a national police database and if the items are stolen and recovered, then the police can return them to the right owner.
Small window stickers are provided with the kit so potential burglars know property in your home is security marked.
