Thames Valley Police would like to remind farmers and rural businesses to secure outbuildings and lock up equipment and scrap metals following some more thefts.
Recent incidents include batteries being stolen from a farm at West End, Stanton Harcourt and a hay mover and trailer being taken from a farm at Enstone. Copper wiring was taken out of an unlocked barn at a farm at Upper Milton, near Milton under Wychwood and an excavator and roller were stolen from Tackley.
Other farms across the district have reported having batteries, electrical fencing and metal taken due to their increase in scrap value.
A rural crime reduction event is being held on Thursday 28 July at Brize Norton. Further details of this free event will be circulated in due course.
In the meantime if you would like a crime reduction visit from your local officer, then please contact Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505 505.
