The chequers is a Fullers House and therefore has a fantastic array of Fullers ales on tap, and also have a number of guest ales on throughout the year. To prove their credentials they attained the high accolade of North Oxon CAMRA Pub of the year in 2013 and have a Cask Marque of excellence to further amplify their credentials as one of the finest pubs in the area.

They also have a fantastic restaurant in what was the old courtyard that will seat up to 30 (there is also a separate function room available that also seats 30 for private dinners, meetings and parties etc...).

keep your eyes peeled for a number of events that are worth looking out for with occasional comedy clubs or live music and their famous Fish and Chips night every monday (£10 including a drink).
