What car?

Buying a new car can be a painful experience.  There is so much choice in terms of new, second hand, manufacturer, size, style, engine type, fuel type, reliability, maintainability, resale value, colour, manual/auto, load carrying capacity, towing etc etc etc....

Once you have made some decisions on the above, you then need to work out where you are going to buy it from and who you can trust!

None of this is easy I grant you, but you can have a great deal of this simplified for you by speaking to the right people, and by that I mean speaking to someone in the industry, who deals with more than one make/brand and who is willing to help you understand some of the many questions that need answering before you make your buying decision.

A daunting prospect really, and the people that generally fit into the bracket described above are those that either repair or sell cars.  And this is generally what scares people even more since it is often construed that talking to salesmen about your needs is like opening yourself up to sales patter.

Well, I can't deny that there may be an element of truth in that, but it doesn't detract from the fact that these are the people who know the most about the situation and are the ones that are most likely to be able to help you and they are the ones that can answer most of the questions you need to answer before you buy.

So what is my point? Well I guess I have two:

1. Don't be afraid to talk to you local dealer, he knows a lot about cars and matching cars to potential customers needs.

2. Remember, you can always say no or walk away. Don't slip into the trap of not talking to the people ' in the know' because of fear of being 'sold' something.

And finally, if you are in the market for a new car, try talking to Jaybee Motors for top motoring advice on three great brands, a great selection of new and used cars and awesome after sales service.
