With just a month to go before Peel in Motion, the west’s most anticipated event of the year, A3 Island Marquees, this year’s organisers by request of Peel Commissioners, are thrilled with the calibre and diversity of the acts and entertainment that have agreed to take part in this Mad Sunday event which takes place on Sunday 5th June this year.

Candy Atcheson who is the proprietor of A3 Island Marquees and Finishing Touches and also the Event Manager of this spectacular affair said, ‘The overall view of last year’s Mad Sunday event in Peel was mostly disappointment, and we felt that the locals and visitors alike deserve much more.’

The A3 team, which includes Candy’s husband John, has more than twenty years experience supplying marquees for the TT fortnight to a number of super companies such as Honda, Suzuki and Triumph, and of course they have provided the very famous Bushy’s Beer Tent for the last fifteen years. As well as looking after the TT, A3 also have a very distinguished and reputable career coordinating events from corporate occasions to the all important wedding day.

John commented, ‘The challenge of organising Peel in Motion felt like a natural progression and because my family and I live and work in Peel it is extra special for us.’

Four thousand islanders and visitors are expected and there will be plenty to see, hear, taste and take part in.

There will be boat trips along the coast courtesy of Bobby and Marlene of Manx Sea Quest as well as a Moore’s Kipper Treasure Hint. ‘Simply Stupid’s’ Circus Show and Acrobatic Dance Troup both promise to be un-missable and their giraffe cyclists and stilt walkers will make up part of the moving street entertainment. Monster Energy and their lovely ladies who will be circulating throughout the day.

Peel’s very own Nick Barlow will be showing off his Chain Saw Sculpture and there will also be items in aid of various charities including a Bikini Bike Wash in aid of the Joey Dunlop Foundation.

You will not go hungry as there will be food for everyone’s taste. Culinary Liberation have decided on a Noodle Bar and a Tex Mex and The Spitting Pig Company will be cooking up a delicious Hog Roast. Dinky Donuts, Candy Floss and of course Davison’s award winning ice cream will delight the sweet toothed.
