Santander’s local savings subsidiary, Alliance & Leicester International is getting set to make Christmas become extra special for a number of Manx registered charities.

If you are a local Isle of Man charity and you need a boost of funds or help with a fundraising event then Alliance & Leicester International could be the Christmas Fairy you need.

The local savings bank launched their 12 Days of Christmas charity campaign at a packed Douglas Town Hall on Tuesday evening.

This is the third year the promotion, which will benefit many local charities, has been run, having previously been organised by sister company Bradford & Bingley International.  Commenting on the campaign, ALIL’s Community Affairs Manager, George Campbell said “Given the attendance on Tuesday night the judging of this years applications is going to be tough.  We are also very excited this year as charities have the opportunity to tap into a funding pool of nearly £50,000 due to our link up with the Santander Foundation.”

Charities still have time to enter an application for either a cash donation or a request for manpower to support their fundraising efforts in 2011 by visiting the company’s website at http://www.alil.co.im/default.aspx?bhcp=1.
