The Joey Dunlop Foundation’s Chairman, Kevin Quirk, a longstanding employee of Conister Trust, will sell raffle tickets for the chance to win a new Honda CBR 600 motorcycle, which has been signed by many of the world’s top riders. Conister will donate an additional 10% of whatever is raised during the two day event, on 7 and 8 August.
The Joey Dunlop Foundation is aiming to build a lodge where the physically challenged can stay.
Kevin said: “The bike will be a superb attraction. Its tank has been signed by all this year’s TT winners, as well as past TT winners, a former British Superbike Champion and riders from World Superbikes. I think it will be a huge attraction, and should help us to raise a significant amount of money. Having recently purchased Braddan Bridge House, the charity is now on the final lap of fund raising. Attending the Royal Manx Agricultural Show provides an excellent opportunity to promote the charity in partnership with Conister Trust.”
Simon Ripton, Head of Sales and Marketing at Conister Trust, commented: “We are delighted to share a stand with the Joey Dunlop Foundation and help them increase funds for their charity.
“As a provider of asset finance, Conister is a year-round supporter of the Island’s agricultural businesses. At the Royal Manx Agricultural Show the bank will also sponsor the falconry events and provide a free prize draw for the chance to win one of three Manx Hampers worth £80.”
Simon concluded: “Conister Trust provides finance on the Isle of Man to local to businesses, for equipment and commercial vehicles, and to personal customers for cars, home improvements, and of course, motorcycles.. Having been founded in 1935, we continue to have strong local values in 2009.
“Our team will be on hand with lots of goodies and to talk about our range of products and services - and if it rains they will hand out free waterproof ponchos!”
