Over 60 attended the Murder Mystery Dinner at the Columba Club on Saturday night and enjoyed guessing 'Who Murdered Ralf?' in the Stab in the Dark play. David Dentith of MASH sustained guests through three acts with his renowned sausage and mash and delectable homemade desserts.
The evening raised over £450 for the local Carers charity who provide meaningful respite to those caring for someone with an illness, disability, frailty, substance abuse or mental health issue.
Alex Wilson, Event Coordinator, said: "The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all and thanks must be paid to The Columba Club staff, David Dentith of MASH, Peel Pantoloons and Finishing Touches."
"Simcocks Trust supported the event and donned their best fancy dress. Simcocks Trust have supported Crossroads throughout the year and their enthusiasm and tremendous attitude to fundraising really puts the fun back in to fundraising."
Simcocks won the first prize for guessing Prudence murdered Ralf and won tickets to Peel Pantoloons' next production.
A raffle was held, including prizes from the Venture Centre, Muffin Top Cupcakes, G H Corlett, Utopia, Up and Running, Isle of Man Creamery, Waltons and Ron Smith. Alex Wilson thanked all contributors.
Crossroads forthcoming fundraising events include a Charities Fashion Show based on Gok's Fashion Fix at the Villa Arcade on Saturday 26 November and a Charity Art Exhibition and Auction at the Hodgson Loom Gallery from 21 November - 2 December.
