Police are investigating an incident of heating oil theft that occurred in the area of Hawarden Avenue, Douglas between Friday 11th and Tuesday 15th November 2011. Heating oil has been removed from a residential property's oil tank. Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen any persons acting suspiciously during the hours of darkness.
Police would like to remind residents, particularly as winter draws nearer, that opportunistic thieves will target property's with insecure oil tanks. Please take steps to lock your oil tanks at all times.
