Preparations are under way for the second Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival.

Just read an interesting article on the iomtoday website about some of the things that will be happening.  This is good news for local food producers and will be a further boost to raising their profile on the island. read the full article here

The Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival will run on each day from 11am to 5pm in the Villa Marina Gardens, Colonnade and Villa Marina Arcade.

Its aim is to celebrate Manx produce, with stallholders offering everything from real ale, queenies and meats to fresh veg, cakes and fudge to taste and to buy.

There will be cooking competitions and plenty of activities to entertain young visitors.

Local music and dance acts will be also be performing throughout the weekend.

The organisers are open to any suggestions to promote Manx food and drink and also are inviting local food producers to participate.

Expressions of interest should be sent to Audrey Fowler at DEFA, Thie Slieau Whallian, Foxdale Road, St Johns IM4 3AS or audrey.fowler@gov.im before 12noon on Friday, May 21.
