The party was held in the St Ninian’s Centre in Douglas. The Honourable John Shimmin MHK was guest of honour and presented awards for winner and highly commended businesses in thebestof The Isle of Man Exceptional Customer Service Award 2009. The Award is voted for online by nominated businesses’ customers and this year’s winner was Island Aquatics. Owner of Island Aquatics Nigel Thijis proudly accepted the award in recognition of the consistent high standards of customer service that his customers had commented on provided by himself and his helpful and knowledgeable staff.
He stated on receiving the award that thebestof was responsible for much of the traffic to his business website and always achieved high ranking on the search engines.
Peter Clark Painter and Decorator ( the only Dulux approved Decorator on the Isle of Man) was pleased to accept a Highly Commended certificate. Peter took the opportunity to thank his staff for all their support and explained how the excellent testimonials posted on thebestof The Isle of Man for his painting and decorating business had helped him achieve success through further business and new clients.
Mr Shimmin MHK took the opportunity to congratulate the winning businesses and to all thebestof businesses on their enthusiasm, dedication and hard work. "I was delighted to play a small part in a wonderful evening to celebrate the organisations third anniversary. The enthusiasm from all
