Marcie Dean, Fundraising Coordinator for The Children’s Centre said “The Philip Christian Centre Youth Cafe project has been set up to meet the needs of the 11-14 year old children and young people of Peel. Now thanks to the generous donation from Manx Munchies, we are able to offer the children and young people of Peel a brand new X-Box together with a range of up-to-date games. The Youth Cafe will offer a wide range of planned activities from music workshops, bicycle maintenance, art projects and song writing, to sports, pool, a new chill out zone and of course the games room which will house the new X-Box and provide internet access and maybe a few performances from local bands! The tuck shop will offer a selection of healthy snacks, toast and drinks and now thanks to the donation from Manx Munchies, “Mendoza Hot Nuts” will also be on offer! We hope that this new facility will give the young people of Peel an opportunity to chill out, relax and learn new skills. We are delighted and very grateful to Manx Munchies for their charitable donation to The Youth Cafe and are delighted at what they are doing, just for the kids”!
