A Ramsey MHK wants to make an amendment to the Same Sex Marriage Bill which is preparing to pass through government.
Leonard Singer says he wants to extend relationship equality to everyone.
Currently, Isle of Man law doesn't allow heterosexual couples to have a civil partnership or same sex couples to marry.
Mr Singer is asking for public feedback before the bill goes through the clauses stage in three weeks time.
