Two Foodie Favourites On The Dining Car

Curry Club and Pie and Mash Trains are running throughout the Dining Car season.

The two foodie favourites provide tasty options for relaxing nights on the Isle of Man Steam Railway’s sumptuously appointed Dining Car.

The Pie and Mash Trains will start at Easter 2016, operating on Thursday 24 March, Easter Saturday 26 and Thursday 31 March. They return every Thursday from June 16 through to 3 November 2016. Pie and Mash Trains depart Douglas station at 19:00 and return by 22:30. A two course supper and return train travel is £25 per person.

Curry Club trains operate on the first Friday each month except TT week in June, with a mouth-watering selection of authentic homemade curries. Food and travel can be booked at £25 per person. Trains depart Douglas at 17:45, arriving at Port Erin one hour later for a half hour stop over. Return trains depart Port Erin at 19:15.

There’s an additional Curry Club special operating on Saturday 30 July as part of the Manx Heritage Transport Festival.

All Curry Club and Pie and Mash trains are accompanied by a fully stocked Bar Car with a selection of beer from all the Island’s breweries available to purchase. Non diners are also welcome, for whom standard train fares apply.
