The Curragh’s Wildlife Park will open daily from next Monday (21st March) as it reverts to its summer timetable.
The park, in Ballaugh, will be open from 10am to 6pm (last admission 5pm).
There is no increase in ticket prices in 2016, with single admission costing £9 for adults, £6 for children aged three to 15 and £2.20 for children aged two, with a range of concessions, family offers and memberships available. Children under two are admitted free.
The park has a packed programme of activities planned for the school Easter holidays (Friday 25th March to Sunday 10th April).
A treasure hunt will run throughout the holidays, with all correct entries going into a draw to win a giant cuddly toy.
Over the Easter bank holiday weekend (Friday 25th to Monday 28th March) there will be animal talks and encounters, plus an Extraordinary Egg display, run by the park’s volunteers.
The popular Orchid Line miniature railway, run by the Manx Steam and Model Engineering Club, will recommence its summer service, running every Sunday from 20th March, and will also operate on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Phil Gibbons returns with his popular falconry display on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th April.
David Cretney MLC, Member of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture with responsibility for the Wildlife Park, said: ‘There’s a lot to look forward to at the park this summer, with the arrival of a pair of silvery gibbons as part of an international endangered species’ breeding programme and many other attractions.
‘With the café and the Enchanted Woods and Adventure Zone play areas, a visit to the park is a great day out for all the family.’
