A fascinating and exciting centre packed with interactive activities, exhibits and displays, New Forest Centre is open daily from 10am to 5pm and will set the scene for your visit to the area. 

New Forest Centre Museum

Described by one visitor as "an excellent museum with great interpretation", the New Forest Centre Museum is suitable for all ages.  

A great place to visit for the whole family, you will see the infamous Family Tree - a huge oak tree that you can walk through and learn all about natural and social history.

New Forest Gallery 

Complete with lecture theatre, the New Forest Gallery hosts talks, workshops and demonstrations as well as a popular all year around exhibition programme.  Visit the website to see what's on! 

Reference Library 

Enter the reference library and you will be amazed by the collection of the great classical works on the Forest .... in fact, this could well be the biggest collection in the area.  Immerse yourself in the material available and find out more about this amazing environment.

Events and Exhibitions 

The New Forest Centre runs a rolling programme of events and exhibitions throughout the year.  From discovery days and art exhibitions to themed trails, arts and crafts, there is something for everyone. 

Meeting and Function Rooms 

If you are looking for meeting rooms in a location that will really wow your guests, check out the two purpose built classrooms at New Forest Centre. 

• Jack Hargreaves Room - accommodates 30 people theatre style, 16 people boardroom style or 20 people cabaret style.  Full conference facilities are available including flip charts, pens and a laptop and data projector.

• Barker-Mill Field Studies Room - accommodates 25 people theatre style or 12 people boardroom style.  Conference facilities include a white board, flip charts, pens, laptop, data projector and screen.

You can also hire the gallery, museum and gift shop if you have a larger event or occasion.
