There is so much to do this weekend in and around the New Forest, so why not plan something fun to do with your dad!
The scarecrows can be spotted out and about in Sandleheath, and there’s a trail that you can follow to make sure you spot them all, then vote for your favourite.
Wimborne Folk Festival is back again bringing some great talent from the Folk Music genre to the area. There will be a host of dancers, street entertainment and workshops for children and adults – it promises to be a family friendly, fun event, and is on from Friday 13th June to Sunday 15th.
What about tasting some great ales? Rhinefield House Hotel in Brockenhurst has a great Father's Day beer festival on Sunday, with some fantastic beers and ciders from local breweries, as well as an all day bbq.
There’s New Forest Producers’ markets in Brockenhurst on Saturday, and Fordingbridge on Sunday, and car boot sales in New Milton and Boldre on Sunday, if you fancy looking for some great bargains.
Are cars his thing? You could head to Beaulieu for the Custom and Hot Rods Festival, showcasing a huge variety of custom cars and motorcycles. This looks like a great day out especially as a Father's Day treat! As well as all the vehicles to look at, there will be trade stands, prize giveaways and family entertainment throughout the day such as live music and fun-fare rides.
St.Barbe Museum and Art Gallery has wonderful exhibitions on throughout the year, and Saturday will be the last chance to see the Thelwell Country exhibition which is a real treat – and do take the time to look around the museum, the Old School Gallery and the great museum shop. This museum really is one of the New Forest’s great attractions.
Fancy enjoying some wonderful French Produce? The French market on Lymington’s High Street will be a great place to go to on Sunday, and afterwards why not head to the Bath Road Recreation Grounds and see what fantastic Arts and Crafts are on show in the Arts in the Park event.
