St Anne's Neighbourhood Centre in Hythe were delighted to receive a grant of £8544 from ASDA Foundation UK for new front doors with “access for all button” and three other external doors.
The new doors were officially opened by Julian Lewis MP along with some of the dancers from Chantelle’s School of Dance who have been using the Centre for 18 years.
Many local people attended the opening and enjoyed a BBQ, craft activities face painting, a raffle as well as teas & coffees.
Peter Armstrong, Chairman, said “The doors are a great addition and improvement to the Community Centre allowing access for all. This is just part of the improvements that are part of our five year business plan. This will enable the centre to be a place the local community can be proud of and host a variety of events. We still have space for more groups/parties and more”.
