Yes, Ron the owner of Corringham's DIY Centre is taking the 'bull by the horns' and is helping Thurrock Council with their GO GREEN campaign.
The Centre is an approved supplier of the Kitchen Caddy, a small bin type product that you put all your food scraps in which this can then be used to provide compost for your garden.
When I visited Ron on Friday he said that residents from all over the borough are purchasing the caddy's. The bags are also being stocked in quantities of 52 and they are all biodegradeable and compostable.
So my advice is why not do your bit for the environment and purchase a caddy and some bags today! At only £3.95 per caddy and the same price for a pack of 52 bags its a real investment for the future!
