With two league matches remaining in the Jolly Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League, Truro Cricket Club's 1st XI are only 1 point behind the leaders Werrington, who they visit on Sat 3rd September for a top of the table clash.
If Truro achieve maximum points from this match and the final fixture of the season against Newquay, who are already relegated, then Tom Sharp Truro's captain will be holding the Championship Trophy aloft.
However, going into the final two weeks of the season any one of five teams still have a chance of winning the title and this season has been the closest fought for many years.
If you fancy watching the climax to the season then come and watch Truro v Newquay next week at Boscawan Park, Malpas Road, Truro from 1pm.
The club always welcomes any support and refreshments are always available.
