It is an asset to all parents and children who pass through their doors.As a member of the local community i can honestly say it is an honour to have such a hardworking and caring facility within our area.Thankfully i personally have never had to use them but i do work for the local secondary school who help raise funds for them. I also love to see the care workers out and about with these children and showing them the local area. The children despite their circumstances always look happy and interact well with the carer x

Acorns Hospice Walsall gives fantastic support to children and young people with life limiting illnesses. It also gives help and support to their families. It is a lovely, friendly place where everyone is made to feel welcome. I have volunteered there for over 5 years and enjoy it very much. The children are given a happy and fun filled respite stay with activities and every care. If needed they can come in when they are very ill and have nursing care. There is someone available for the families to contact 24/7 should they need help or advice. Hospice at Home is now offered where nurses and care assistants go into the homes to give parents a break. They make sure that the whole family have care and support. It really deserves an award.

Everyone is so warm and friendly, they welcome you like family and are so committed to the children. I've worked with them for a number of years and they always have such great opportunities to bring happiness and joy to the children's life. I feel they help me be a better person and I hope to continue working for them in the future.
