If you want great food very friendly staff you can't beat calderfiel best by far the food choice is great and cooked really good that's Sunday . Also been to lost of evening avents which is also served with good food and great entertainment if you like a drink the chalets are a great place to book after a great night.

Just can't fault the Sunday carvery £9 95 .and worth every penny .All piping hot and so much choice .The beef just melts in your mouth .gravy us superb and finishes a perfect plateful .good service by staff and the Guinness is a gorgeous pint .can't recommend highly

I needed a room for the night for a business trip in Walsall and came across Calderfields Golf & Country Club on a web search. Arriving at the Golf Club I checked in at the bar by a very pleasant member of staff, who kindly gave me my room key and instructions to the lodge, whilst taking a restaurant booking for that evening. The lodge was very clean and well presented. There is a choice of either a twin room with 2 very comfortable single beds or a double where the beds are made up as a double, mine was the latter and was extremely comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were more than adequate and the en-suite bathroom was huge compared with many chain hotels. The large walk-in shower was a bonus for somebody who is not on the small side and controls easy to use. The restaurant served until late and had a wide range of food, not just the deep fried variety you can get.
Overall a very nice stay if only there for the one night. I would definitely return when next in the area

Stayed here whilst working on the area cabin was basic but exceeded my needs, view from cabin excellent. Food in the restaurant was very good alongside excellent service by barstaff. My only gripe is lack of Wi-Fi, but due to these being cabins I understand why this may not be available.

I have been to Calderfields a number of times over the last year but this was the first we went to one of the functions they had on and was very impressed by the service that received - The Food was excellent and so was the service - will be going back again soon.

We have been to quite a few functions over the last year at Calderfilds and have found it to be a really good all round venue, the staff are helpful and with the flexibility of layout it's been great for a variety of types of event. We hope to continue to enjoy this as one of Walsalls best places for a great time with friends as well

Quite simply the best carvery in the area bar none. Great and friendly staff such as Aleisha, Richard and Dan. Each visit is a pleasure and I've not had a dinner with such stunning views for a long time ,and certainly not in the Midlands. We did NYE last year too and that was a fantastic night.

I visited Calderfields Golf and Country Club to attend a 30th birthday party. We were a very large group and they did a good job of taking our starter orders and serving them almost immediately. The carvery was nice, but those who had ordered fish were left waiting a while for them to be cooked. There was also a very long wait at the bar, despite there not being many people there to serve.
Overall, the service was poor, the location was nice and the food was good.
